before i make anything irl

One of the things that i deeply regret about my uni experience is not doing digital fabrication as a minor. because that shit would be REAAAAAAAALY helpful right about now. Anyways i digress

I want my fursuit head to be kinda more realistic and uncanny. i think theres something attractive in some uncannyness yannow? what im saying is that if someone compared my head to that goat guy from pans labrinth then i would be very very happy.

I have made the head in nomad sculpt or atleast the top half. I was kinda stuck on the bottom half bc i couldn't get a mouth that didnt look absolutely goofy as shit. but i have found a possible solution which is just wrap the bottom half with a scarf. it saves on filament so thats also a plus! (i also dont have to do ears)

One downside though might be the heat. I live in the southern hemisphere. so that means november is the beginning of summer so i might be overheating in this thing. but also also from my experince with other fursuiters i think thats just inevivitible so fuck it be ball

Im also thinking about weaving some chainmail chains inbetween the horns. bc why not?

I also need to be thinking about how im going to look though this head.

I also need to think about if i want this guy to be fluffy or if i want people to slap his bald head...

waow much to think about

Hollow out and turn the sheep obj into a stl

Using the automatic hollow out bullshit in blender and meshmixer was extremely frustrating process that dosent even work so im being a neanderthall and using the boolean tool and a smaller version of the sheep face and using that to hollow out the face. It works and im pretty sure that itll be stable.

this has also let me get a better view of the inside.

hmmmmmmmm maybe i should put some holes somewhere so i wount be blind as a bat

I have also made indents on the head so the horns wont be a massive headache in the long run

the front part of my mask is printed!!!!!! yaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy! it took a day and 11 hours, about half of the time of my first one but to be fair it was cut it in half... so im not done with printing stuff yet. I'm gonna say that breaking off the supports was kinda easier than i thought it would be but also the inside is kinda sharp bc most of the supports were inside but on the plus side nobodys gonna see it and the outside looks nice! kinda. Another thing that ive noticed is that i shouldve made the mask more detailed. if you look at it you can see its kinda pixelated in some of the creases. but maybe sanding it down and painting it will make it less visible. Anyway uhhhhhhhh yeah thats it.

THE GREATEST FOLLY OF MAN IS BITING OFF MORE THAN HE CAN CHEW. I AM THAT MAN, HE IS ME. I could definitely finish it in time. would i be proud of the result? no. I would not. so im putting more time with this. I have been preoccupied with something else. anyways i have the mask 3d printed and glued together. However a thing that i've noticed is that the seam is noticeable. I'm thinking about implementing a hoodie/cloak/parka thing to the back of the head so that it looks presentable and that people will not know my shame.

For the face itself i was thinking of using flocking powder since it gives it a fluffy fexture while not missing out of the details of the mask.

Anyways uhhhhhh thats it
